Hello,
I am selling my beautiful 1992 Mercedes 190E (2.3). Although I absolutely adore this car, I am in a very dire financial situation and thus must do what I can to get myself out. The car just hit 216,000 miles and is running strong. The transmission was redone about eight months ago and is nice and tight. It is an automatic and has *really* nice Niche chrome rims on it. It sounds really good (like a race car but not obnoxious) and it handles extremely well. The turning radius is excellent and to be frank...this car hauls!! It also has a pioneer single disk CD player.
As far as problems, this car seems to have a few electrical issues. I am told that the fuses are old and it will eventually need a new fuse box. I think these are around $50. Due to the occasional slippage of the fuses, some electrical components do not work unless you pop the hood and push them back into place. Thus this means that from time to time, the windshield wiper won't work, the stereo won't work, the brights won't work. However, when the fuses are realigned everything works fine. Another problem this car has is that it does not lock. I am told that an anti-theft system would do the trick (by making appt. at best buy, walmart etc.) but I simply do not have the cash.
Since it is a Mercedes, it does come with free roadside assistance for the life of the car. Thus if you ever leave your headlights on, you can call them any time and they will come out for free (wherever you are) and jump the car.
I am asking $2500 but will consider all reasonable offers. Call 517.643.6004.
Thanks!
